CIIAE holds a workshop to strengthen the regional productive fabric around energy storage

El CIIAE celebra una jornada para fortalecer el tejido productivo regional en torno al almacenamiento energético

The Iberian Centre for Research in Energy Storage (CIIAE) held a working session on December 10 aimed at strengthening the regional productive fabric, bringing together companies, agents from the science-technology system, and institutional representatives around the challenges and opportunities of energy storage.

The meeting served as a space for dialogue and knowledge transfer, with the objective of identifying technological needs of the productive sector, exploring potential public-private collaborations, and presenting CIIAE’s scientific and technical capabilities in the field of energy storage, with special attention to thermal energy storage.

During the session, the opportunities of R&D&I as a driver of competitiveness were addressed, as well as the instruments available to promote collaboration between companies, research centers, and public administrations. Likewise, the role of CIIAE as a strategic regional infrastructure was highlighted, called to contribute to the energy transition, decarbonization, and industrial development of Extremadura.

Through this type of action, CIIAE reinforces its commitment to the development of a solid innovation ecosystem, aligned with regional, national, and European priorities in energy and sustainability.

This activity was carried out within Project DR25016, funded by the General Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Regional Ministry of Education, Science and Vocational Training of the Regional Government of Extremadura, through grants from Line 3 for the dissemination of research results to society. Co-funded at 85% by European funds (ERDF Operational Programme 2021–2027).
