CIIAE participates in the delivery of the EBA250 Academy course at the School of Industrial Organization (EOI)

The Department of Electrical Storage has been responsible for delivering the Circular Economy modules (Battery Reuse and Recycling) and the Battery Testing module.

The Iberian Center for Energy Storage Research (CIIAE) participates in the delivery of the Battery Energy Storage Expert course within the initiative developed by EIT InnoEnergy at the request of the European Commission. The EBA Battery Academy, managed by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), has launched the first course in Spain with the collaboration of the Junta de Extremadura.

The CIIAE’s Electrical Storage Department has been in charge of delivering the Circular Economy modules (Battery Reuse and Recycling) and the Battery Testing module. In these modules, students have been able to explore in depth concepts such as second life, hydrometallurgy, recycling efficiency, and collection targets, which are fundamental for understanding the end-of-life stage of batteries; as well as other key concepts such as State of Health and State of Charge, which are essential in the battery field and increasingly relevant with the emergence of second-life battery applications.
