“Direct Air Capture process on porous solid beds with non-conventional geometries for cooling towers “

 

Study of the combination of a support (metallic, ceramic, polymeric, etc.) and the active phase for CO2 adsorption (generally amines but not limited to them) with the objective of find a commercial solution to be applied in a specific system (cooling tower) for Direct Air Capture (DAC). Optimisation of the adsorbent structures based on the pressure drop and the sorbent capacities. Analysis of the energy balance and validation of the results using experimental data.
